Sony made an important statement about The Last of Us Part 2, one of the most talked about games of recent times. According to the statement made by Sony, The Last of Us Part 2 has sold more than 4 million copies since its launch last week.
The Last of Us Part 2 pre-orders across Europe were very close to the figures from Marvel’s Spider-Man game times. Despite being hit by delays and the many leaks that have surfaced, The Last of Us Part 2 is definitely on track to become a “new defining game.”
Neil Druckmann, the director of The Last of Us Part 2, stated that they have been working on this game for about six years. “We started telling a new kind of story with some pretty cool designs that will challenge you in unexpected ways. It was incredible to see how the experience appealed to such a large audience and to witness the kind of discussion it sparked,” he said. “We’re also inspired by your creativity, whether it’s your gorgeous Photo Mode shots, game GIFs, or songs you recorded using Ellie’s guitar.”
Druckmann also celebrated the efforts of the teams at Naughty Dog, which brought The Last of Us Part 2 to life, during the development process. “It’s great to see good comments from people playing the game,” he added. “Thank you for helping us reach this incredible milestone.”
As you know, The Last of Us Part 2 is only out for PlayStation 4 for now.
