Fallout 76 is Free on Xbox Now with Double XP

Xbox and Bethesda have announced that Fallout 76 will be completely free on Xbox and PC for the entire week of E3. Pull out your acoustic guitar and call John Denver, it’s time to take the country roads to West Virginia.

Live until June 16, players can download the full Fallout 76 game for free on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game will also be available all week for those who choose to join permanently, with continued progression from the free trial to the full game after purchase.

Fallout 76’s free week includes double XP for the entire trial and a chance to test the game’s Scrapbox and Survival Tent memberships via a special in-game item. To access the pass trial, the announcement’s official blog post tells players to head to the Atomic Shop to claim the “free Fallout 1st Limited Preview ‘item’, then open Scrapbox from the Shop’s Fallout 1st page and head in.

Fallout 76 is a first-person shooter MMORPG set in post-nuclear apocalyptic West Virginia. The game was originally released in October 2018 and was recently updated with the Locked and Installed update in late April 2021.
