Counter-Strike: Twitter user ohnePixel, a veteran of the Global Offensive economy, reported in his post that a very rare StatTrak M4A4 (Howl) skin was recently purchased for a price of $100,000. The digital item was purchased by a Chinese collector.
What is interesting is that the buyer will sell the skin in question for $130,000. But even an amount of $ 100,000 is more than enough to break the record. The most expensive cosmetic item sold in CS:GO so far was the AWP (Dragon Lore) skin, which sold for over $61k.
One of the reasons the StatTrak M4A4 (Howl) skin is so expensive is because it features the iBUYPOWER Katowice 2014 sticker, which dates back to when CS:GO’s fanbase was much smaller. Items like this are among the rarest we can get. In fact, a regular StatTrak M4A4 (Howl) skin costs exactly $5180 without these stickers. The second factor affecting the price may be the crazy nature of the Chinese collector market.
