E3 2020 was canceled long ago due to COVID-19, but that hasn’t stopped almost every major gaming company from holding their own private conferences to showcase their games and products. The period normally reserved for E3 has expanded into summer. The most notable event among them was Ubisoft Forward.
So, what does the French developer studio of Assassin’s Creed, which everyone loves, plans for the future? Here are the games we want to see during Ubisoft’s big, fancy presentation:
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
We’ve had some news about the latest Assassin’s Creed. We know that this game is the last of the trilogy that also includes Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and will include Vikings. And if there are Vikings there will be beards and lots of violent murders.
We have some pre-created cuts and images from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. We want to see the game live and get to know Eivor, the newest assassin in the series. Considering it’s due out this fall, we have no doubt that Ubisoft will be focusing quite heavily on this Scandinavian assassination adventure. Don’t let us down, Ubisoft.
Watch Dogs Legion
Watch Dogs Legion was one of the few notable games that was expected to be released in March 2020, but was delayed. At this time, we don’t know exactly when the last game in the series, in the open world hacking and shooting genre, will arrive on both current and next-gen consoles.
We’re waiting for a trailer or section to be released on Ubisoft Forward. We want a release date or some more gameplay footage. This way we can see what kind of turmoil we could cause in old England.
Beyond Good And Evil 2
When the game was announced in 2017, we were confused about what it would be like. We are in 2020 and we still do not know what kind of game it is. We’re not sure if it’s a sequel, origin game, remake or multiplayer spinoff.
Whatever’s behind Good Or Evil 2, we hope some answers will finally emerge. The team seems to have surprisingly ambitious plans for the long-awaited sequel. It would be nice to get even the slightest hint of what the game will be like.
Mario + Rabbids 2
Rabbids can be a crossover between an XCOM tactical strategy game and a Mario universe. The first game was very detailed. The whimsical mix of franchises and genres has managed to create an extremely fun collaboration between Nintendo and Ubisoft. We think this game is the sequel to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
In the past, there were rumors that a game about Mario would be made. If so, Ubisoft Forward would definitely be a good place to make such an announcement.
Skull And Bones
We haven’t heard much about Skull and Bones for a while. While a TV adaptation is currently in development, news about the game is scarce.
We hope the team behind Skull And Bones has fixed the problems that caused the development process to stall. We want to hear more news about this adventure. Because while Sea Of Thieves is fun enough, there’s always room for more pirate games in this world.
What about Sam Fisher?
We hope the five games we’ve listed here will be the subject of significant discussion at Ubisoft Forward. There’s also the possibility of announcements like a new Rayman or Far Cry game or Tom Clancy’s that we haven’t considered. Maybe even mention a Splinter Cell game with Sam Fisher. Of course, this is our personal opinion.
We’ll soon find out what this prolific developer is working on, as Ubisoft Forward launches on Sunday, July 12.
